London Fashion Week FW22 Highlights
Highlights in color, material, detail, print & key items.
We’re highlighting the emerging designers and key trends to track for the FW22 season ahead.
Lilac Dreams
Lilac, the color of the year, seen in 60s-inspired pairings like chartreuse, brown or green. Seen in designs by Mark Fast, Poster Girl, Rejina Pyo & Edward Cutchley.
Velvet Crush
AT LFW, designers like to embrace the past, this season velvet was the key element to depict gothic dark romance. Simone Rocha presented velvet dresses with voluminous sleeves and sheer midriffs. On the other hand, Dundas & Edward Crutchley showcased crushed velvet in bright colors.
Graphic Floral
Florals are customary for spring, nonetheless, this season designers are breaking the mold of what fall winter collections should be about. Huishan Zhang set forth a vibrant collection of large-scale floral prints. Richard Quinn presented a captivating attire in electric colors and contrasting fabrics—with an 80s voluminous take.
Iron-made
Hardware adds an element of toughness...Christopher Kane displayed sensual dresses with revealing cutouts suspended with gold chains. Dundas relied heavily on crystal embellishments and grommets. While Erdem, applied hardware elements to tailored looks.
Party girl dress
This dress embodies the idea of a young party girl. Defined by the use of light blue, lilac, sequined looks and ultra-short hems. The mini carries into fall and spans a range of aesthetics, from clean and minimalist to Y2K, which we have been spotting for the last few seasons. Seen in 16 Arlington, Poster Girl and Supriya Lee.
