Copenhagen fashion week always puts forth a fresh perspective. The Danish capital has established itself as the pre-eminent fashion week in terms of trendsetting prowess, street style photography and sustainability—and it's only getting stronger every season. These are some of the themes spotted during fashion week.
🧦Hygge
Hygge is the Danish term for creating a warm and comfortable ambiance. These season designers have offered a cozy alternative to sweats. Looks were cozy to the next level featuring head-to-toe teddy and extra long sleeves.
🎀Dolled Up
Rococo fashion influences have been present in previous seasons including corsets and ornate fabrics. For Copenhagen fashion week designers included subtle details; Ganni, for instance, included delicate decorative bows and ruching.
👔Sartorial
Tailoring played a part during fashion week, designers introduced innovative suit sets looks that go well beyond the boardroom. Raben Saloner made us rethink tailored garments by proposing a single-button pinstripe skirt with a matching bra top. The Garment gave us practical pieces with a twist (literally), presenting an asymmetrical vest paired with pinstripe pants.
☁️Duvet Dressing
Puffers are ideal for the cold, this season they have been elevated to a wider silhouette, a hybrid between a poncho coat & warm sleeping bag. Accessories also received the puff treatment, as seen in Baum und Pferdgarten who paired a puff scarf with a sheer dress.
